Reptile exclusion fencing was installed on a proposed development site and several large’ rubble
pile’ style hibernacula were constructed for a population of common lizards on site. Sensitive scrub
and small tree clearance was also undertaken to facilitate the capture and translocation of common
lizards.
SEEDA (South East England Development Agency)
SES installed substantial amounts of water vole and reptile fencing as part of the ecological
enhancement and mitigation scheme associated with a large proposed regeneration project on
the Isle of Sheppey. A water vole mitigation programme was also undertaken as well as ongoing
reptile capture and translocation works.
